Grade Eight students were tasked with using nonverbal communication skills to stack cups. It was their introduction to Newton’s Laws of motion. They had not been taught anything about it, but they were to stack the cups and then verbally explain their reason for stacking them in their order. The cups all had words, phrases or the law for one of the laws of motion. They could not talk to each other and could only touch and move the cups with the rubber band and strings attached to it. Cooperation and patience was essential. Great team work! |
